It has been almost a year since the game received an update with the latest game mechanics and things are looking good for the game mode more than ever.

Save The World campaign has been around in Fortnite ever since its initial days. Some OG players would say that the game mode itself was the actual Fortnite and still is due to its originality in the storyline and the classic graphics it boasts.

During Chapter 2 of the Battle Royale game mode, players slowly parted ways with Save The World, once it came out of Early Access and was accessible to anyone who bought a special cosmetic pack from the Item Shop. As a result, Epic also stopped updating the game mode with the latest mechanics and features and instead shifted its focus to Battle Royale.

But ever since the launch of Chapter 3, when Epic decided to add animals to the PvE campaign, players were hoping to finally get some latest Sprint, Mantle, and Crouch mechanics to the game mode soon enough. Looks like the day has finally arrived and Epic has indeed added some major updates to the game mode.

Epic adds new Movement Mechanics to Save The World in the latest update

Save The World game mode has just received a major update in the form of the latest movement mechanics as Sprinting, Sliding, Mantling, Crouching, and Shoulder Bashing Doors gets added to it. Now players can use the latest movement mechanics they have been using in Battle Royale game mode in Save The World and fight the Husk Monsters in their own unique way.

Fortnite also posted some clips on their official blog alongside the Homebase Status report v21.20 of how players can use the Ninja hero in their loadout and climb greater heights by combining the mantle feature with a double jump.

In addition to these features, Epic also added Fennix as the next hero to enter the PvE campaign and has given a dedicated questline called Flight of the Fennix to the character. Players can now jump in the game and complete quests linked to Fennix to acquire the hero in their loadout and use its ferocious powers to Save The World.

As Epic continues to improve the stability of its Battle Royale and Creative game modes, it is surely pleasing to see that finally Save The World is receiving a similar treatment with major changes being made to improve its gameplay experience. Nevertheless, the player base speculates in the coming days the PvE will also receive the popular Overshield feature as they experience in Zero Build as well as some new weapons added to their loadout.

What are Social Tags in Fortnite Season 3 and how to use them? https://www.fortniteintel.com/what-are-social-tags-in-fortnite-season-3-and-how-to-use-them/41322/ Sat, 25 Jun 2022 04:18:48 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41322 Fortnite Season 3 has introduced players to several new features, a new UI and a more colorful island to drop in. One of these most awaited and heavily rumored features was Social Tags. Now that it’s finally here, players are loving how it adds their in-game personality to their profile.

Loopers are enjoying every bit about the latest Chapter 3 Season 3. From ballers, exciting new POIs, the brand new Reality Sapling loot system, all the new additions accompany one another in a perfect manner.

However, the user interface options in Fortnite have stayed stagnant for a long period of time and required a major overhaul with the evolution of the gameplay. With the addition of Explore and game playlists options earlier this year, Epic showed its player base about the potential of what Fortnite can be.

In addition to all these features, something felt missing that allowed players to connect with other active players who have similar interests and the way they play Fortnite. Enter Social Tags which were added in the most recent v21.10 update. Here’s what they are and how you can use them.

Use Social Tags to define your choices and find similar players in Fortnite

Social Tags in Fortnite are basically name tags you can add to your Fortnite profile on the sidebar section. These tags signify how you play Fortnite and you can get recommendations on the Explore Menu of similar experiences.

If you enjoy a certain Battle Royale or Creative mode, you can add a tag for it. One player at max, can add 3 tags to their profile. It could be a mix of Creative, Battle Royale which bbasically have gameplay modes and Miscellaneous which has more options like Chill, Quests, Mic On etc.

To apply Social Tags to your profile, do the following steps:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the left sidebar.
  2. Select +Add Tag option on your profile.
  3. Add social tags from the list available there.
  4. Save and confirm the selected tags. (Max 3)

Once assigned, they will show up on your profile and would tell others how you choose to play Fortnite. Furthermore, you can head to Looking For A Party option on the left sidebar, right above settings to search for random players who play Fortnite the way you do.

It will then show a list of players who are active currently in-game and are in the lobby with how many players. Moreover, you can send them a party invite or a request to join your party. You can also choose to turn off this option.

This feature promotes healthy connectivity between players who play Fortnite in a similar way and helps prevent toxicity between Casuals and Sweats in the game. Additionally, it creates a healthy divide between the two communities if one enjoys grinding Arenas while others purely enjoy Public matches.

How to get the Skate Park Royalty STW pack in Fortnite Season 3 https://www.fortniteintel.com/how-to-get-the-skate-park-royalty-stw-pack-in-fortnite-season-3/41225/ Tue, 21 Jun 2022 03:33:12 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41225 Fortnite’s seasonal Save The World packs always offer a great cosmetic item, a bunch of V-Bucks and access to the exclusive PVE campaign that OG players still love. This season brings a fresh cosmetic Skate Park Royalty pack to the shop and loopers are digging it’s vibe.

Ever since Save The World came out of Early Access, it has been fairly accessible to all players alike as it comes along with a separate item shop pack which not only offers the game, but rewards that loopers can use in Battle Royale modes as well. Gone are the days when upon purchasing a STW pack used to give daily V-Bucks to players and Bonus Quests where they could farm V-Bucks.

As some would say the game mode is nearly dead, Fortnite keeps updating its world every once in a while and keeps on fixing its issues so it stays intact with its niche community of players. From adding animals to the game to introducing new Loot Llamas, Epic has been putting in the work to keep the game alive while they can.

However, the only thing about the mode that attracts the player base is the bonus cosmetics and V-Bucks a player gets upon purchasing the game mode. With the launch of Season 3, where the island is colorful and loopers are vibing, a skater appears in the latest STW pack.

Fortnite releases Skate Park Royalty Pack to Season 3

Fortnite announced the latest Save The World pack this season named Skate Park Royalty Pack. The pack includes cosmetics like the Toni outfit, Ollie Oop Backbling, Inline Impacter Pickaxe which are all skate themed.

Moreover, the pack rewards the players with an exclusive access to Save the World PVE Campaign as well as a whopping 1500 V-Bucks to use across all game modes. However, the price of the pack is $15.99 USD (US) | £12.99 Pound Sterling (UK) .

Loopers can purchase this pack from Epic Games Store or the Fortnite Item Shop. The pack received positive reviews from the player base and pros who are regular buyers of STW packs and stands its reputation alongside Metal Team Leader and more OG STW skins.

However, the future seems bright for Save the World players as features like Gyro and Flick Stick and Vault/Sprint are yet to be added to the game, which might be a possibility soon. Although more will be revealed later this season as the first update v21.10 drops today.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 employee pin pays tribute to Ukraine https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-chapter-3-season-2-employee-pin-pays-tribute-to-ukraine/41199/ Mon, 20 Jun 2022 23:44:41 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41199 Epic Games is known for treating their employees with freebies that represent several seasons of Fortnite or a particular theme it is centered around. Recently they gave away the Chapter 3 Season 2 pins which represented Epic’s support to providing humanitarian relief to war affected Ukraine.

Fortnite is played by millions of players spanning across all ages from around the globe. These players sometimes come from remote countries where they do not have access to better internet or resources, but still they celebrate the spirit of gaming.

However, one of the major hubs of Fortnite players is in Europe and countries like Ukraine has a massive number of active player base who play the game everyday. But when the invasion of Russian forces took place early this year, the internet facilities in the country were shut down and kids were forced to migrate to another nations.

That is when Epic Games stepped in to provide humanitarian relief to the country’s citizens as it donated all of its proceeds through in-game purchases, almost during all of Chapter 3 Season 1. They were successful in raising more than $36 Million for organizations providing relief in Ukraine, with the help of Fortnite’s player base.

Epic Games Employee pin shows support for Ukraine

The employee pin Epic games gave away to its employees who worked on Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, represented colors of the national flag of Ukraine. This comes in as a gesture of thanks to everyone who were in the process of progressing the game during the ongoing war in the country against Russia.

Moreover, this is not the first time Epic has paid tribute to Ukraine publicly like this. In Chapter 3 Season 2, Epic added two more crates near Condo Canyon, that still exist in-game, which represents the vibrant Blue and Yellow color of the Ukrainian Flag. This shows the strong bond the company shares with the country and the player base that resides within.

However, with the war almost coming to a standstill now, Epic has plans to host a future tournament exclusive to Ukrainian players as they were unable to be a part of FNCS in this chapter. Although this is just a rumor, more information will arrive in the coming weeks as Chapter 3 Season 3 is just getting started with newer updates.

Epic Games caps XP gained from Reality Fruit in Fortnite Season 3 https://www.fortniteintel.com/epic-games-caps-xp-gained-from-reality-fruit-in-fortnite-season-3/41003/ Tue, 14 Jun 2022 12:40:07 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41003 Reality Fruit and Saplings were an entirely new concept that was introduced in Fortnite Season 3 that offered players a unique way to loot weapons and consumables from. However, the XP gained upon claiming loot from the sapling was much more than the chest and was indefinable. As of now, it seems like Epic decided to cap it for some reason.

The loot system in Fortnite has always relied on Chests and Supply drops other than floor loot that players rely on to get their hands on various tiers of weapons and consumables. Ever since Chapter 1 up until now, the loot system has stayed stagnant and players used to identify POIs with most chest spawns.

It was with the release of Chapter 3 Season 3 when things took a weird turn and loopers started to rely on a plant to get loot more than the chest spawns in a POI. Reality Fruit bears Epic to Legendary loot most of the time whereas Chest spawns usually reward a player with Uncommon to Rare weapon loot.

However, when a player picks fruit loot from a Reality Sapling, they get rewarded with insane amounts of XP which is far more than when one opens a chest. As soon as developers took note of how players were only picking Reality fruit and weed in an entire match to farm XP, they decided to finally cap it for good.

Epic limits amount of XP gained upon picking Reality Fruit / Weed

In a recent hotfix yesterday, Epic patched the number of times a player can gain XP upon performing the two major actions related to Reality Sapling. Those are Picking a Reality Fruit and Picking Weeds that grow around it.

In an in-game method, players discovered that when an XP Supercharged is in play, picking a fruit offers them over 4000 XP in one go. Picking three of them amounts to over 12000 XP and over that picking a weed amounts to over 24000 XP a player would get from a single sapling.

Exploiting this method, loopers used it to their advantage to level up 5-6 tiers in a single match upon only picking fruits and weed from around 20 saplings. The limit has now been capped to 15 times in a single match.

This means that a player will only get XP for the first 15 fruits and weed they pick in a single match. After that, there will not be any XP awarded for any of those actions.

This bold move by Epic was praised by many and at the same time certain players were unhappy to see one of their favorite XP farming methods capped. However, loopers are discovering new ways to farm XP using glitches and Creative AFK XP maps.

How to participate in Fortnite Emote Royale 2022 https://www.fortniteintel.com/how-to-participate-in-fortnite-emote-royale-2022/40911/ Fri, 10 Jun 2022 08:12:48 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=40911 Emote Royale was a concept launched by Fortnite in 2020 where it allowed fans of the game to create their own dance moves or actions that would later be turned into an emote in the game. It returns in Chapter 3 Season 3 and puts up quite a challenge for players alike.

Fortnite has always connected players and fans from across the globe with its diversifying content and in-game items. One thing that connects them all that they can celebrate about the game in the real world are Emotes.

Emotes are certain Dance Moves or Actions that went viral in the real world and Content Creators are often seeing performing them on Tik Tok or Instagram. However, these actions are first performed by a person and then Epic turns them into an emote.

Emote Royale is an interesting competition that brings several dancers and artists together to create the next Fortnite Emote. Here’s how players or creators can participate in the latest 2022 edition.

Fortnite Emote Royale 2022: How to Participate, Rewards and more

Fortnite yesterday announced the latest edition of Emote Royale 2022 and has opened submissions for fans, dancers and entertainers to take up the challenge. To participate in the contest, competitors will need to take a video of themselves performing an original dance or original motion, then share their submission on TikTok or Instagram Reels using the hashtags #EmoteRoyale2022 and #contest.

The winning dance or motion will become an Emote in Fortnite, and the winning submitter will receive $2,500 USD plus the Emote in-game. Moreover, the submission does not need to be a dance but it could instead be any motion or an action like Dab or Finger Guns, which are existing Fortnite Emotes.

Fans have already started grooving with their dance moves and are actively submitting their dances like Silly Dance. The submissions are already flowing in and are going viral over the internet and they look pretty groovy.

Loopers on the other hand are appreciating Epic’s efforts of adding newer content everyday to the game and announcing exciting collaborations that are keeping the community on their toes. However, a major update is about to drop next week which hopefully will bring more exciting items and challenges for loopers to experience.

How to get Among Us cosmetics in Fortnite Season 3 https://www.fortniteintel.com/how-to-get-among-us-cosmetics-in-fortnite-season-3/40899/ Fri, 10 Jun 2022 07:33:07 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=40899 Innersloth and Epic Games have been planning a potential collaboration between Fortnite and Among Us ever since Impostors mode got introduced. Fans and leakers had drawn several speculations on how the collab would feature but it seems the time has come for the real Impostors to enter the loop.

Fortnite Gaming Legends collab series have seen a significant rise in the past few months as Epic aims to make the looped Battle Royale a metaverse with various franchises and popular media become a part of it. From Pacman to Street Fighter, several video game characters have made their way into the loop in the form of in-game cosmetics such as Outfits, Back BBlings and Emotes.

A similar concept was drawn for Innersloth’s hit game Among Us a year ago, when Impostors was introduced and the game arrived to Epic Games Store. However, the collab was speculated and conceptualized in the form of weird looking Impostor skins that the player base highly doubted would ever be added to the game.

Looks like an official collaboration is here and players can redeem the in-game cosmetics in a very interesting manner. Here’s how you can get it.

How to get Among Us Back Blings and Emote in Fortnite

The Among Us X Fortnite collab was announced by the game’s official Twitter handle last night as part of Epic Games’ Summer Sale. The post announced that if anyone who purchases Among Us from Epic Games Launcher from June 9th 2022 to June 9th 2023, will receive the Fortnite cosmetics directly in-game.

Moreover, if players already own the game, they will receive 600 V-Bucks in their Fortnite account, which hints at the actual cost of items when they arrive in the item shop. Additionally, players can also get the cosmetics now if they purchase an Among Us stars pack from the Epic Games store, which is an in-game currency pack.

The cosmetic rewards contain an Impostor Back Bling with a bunch of different colors of characters from the actual game. In addition to the Back Bling, players will also receive a Distraction Dance Emote for free.

The Impostor Back Bling contains a running animation whenever the looper moves and also makes the typical footsteps sounds the character makes in Among Us.

Moreover the Back Bling also features several animations when a looper is standing, knocked down, sprinting which is just like the actual game.

However, HYPEX tweeted last night that a glitch allowed him to get over 70000 V-Bucks back upon purchasing the Among Us Stars pack in his region from the Epic Games store. The glitch was later patched in his region but is still active in other regions to exercise.

How to ride animals in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 and use the Saddler https://www.fortniteintel.com/how-to-ride-animals-in-fortnite-chapter-3-season-3-and-use-the-saddler/40693/ Mon, 06 Jun 2022 14:58:36 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=40693 Just when we thought Fortnite could not get any better, Epic Games added rideable animals. Here’s how you can ride animals in Season 3.

In Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, players can ride Wolves and Boars. Prominent leakers like HYPEX talked about rideable wildlife on the island for a long time, and it is finally here.

Riding animals is arguably one of the coolest Fortnite features ever because it is a lot more than just riding. Loopers can shoot, build, tackle opponents, and perform an array of other functions while riding a beast.

Here’s a quick guide to riding animals in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 makes Wolves and Boars rideable

At the moment, Loopers can only ride Wolves and Boars. Leakers like HYPEX believe rideable Raptors will also arrive soon, but the developers are yet to confirm the same.

The procedure to ride animals in Fortnite Chapter 3 is as easy as it gets – find a Wolf or a Boar and simply land on its back. It is recommended to hit jump right when the rideable beast attacks and tame it with a perfect landing.

Loopers might require a few tries to land on the back correctly because the animals are usually hostile and it is hard to find them in a stationary position.

Fortnite to release a Saddler weapon soon in Chapter 3 Season 3

From the looks of it, the animal riding mechanics will get significantly better in Fortnite as Chapter 3 Season 3 progresses. Leaker iFireMonkey has mentioned a Saddler weapon that only has the aim, fire, and ride functions.

It is safe to assume that the upcoming Saddler weapon will allow players to directly tame an animal from a distance. Also, Loopers can look forward to the arrival of Raptors that were last seen during Chapter 2 Season 8.

The leaked Saddler weapon might work like a Harpoon Gun. The latter is heavily used to eliminate bosses like The Foundation through fall damage, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if The Saddler will be equally popular among players.

While it is almost confirmed that the Saddler will be a part of the Chapter 3 Season 3 loot pool, leakers haven’t opened up on its availability and spawn location.

Raptors first arrived in Fortnite in the Primal themed Chapter 2 Season 6

All in all, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has received a mixed response from Loopers around the world. Although issues like slow XP progression exist, there is a ton of new content in terms of map changes, vehicles, weapons, and more.

How to use Reality Seeds in Fortnite Season 3 https://www.fortniteintel.com/how-to-use-reality-seeds-in-fortnite-season-3/40686/ Mon, 06 Jun 2022 14:54:39 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=40686 The latest Fortnite season has introduced loopers to exciting new POIs and concepts that were not seen before in the game. Reality Seeds are one such addition that function as interdimensional objects just like tents, but in an entirely different manner.

With the Zero Point submerged underwater, it is finally serving its purpose by adding life and colors to the island that loopers have missed in the past. One such addition to the map that might be a gift to them is the Reality Tree.

The Reality Tree POI was added in the place of Camp Cuddle in the Chapter 3 Season 3 map and boasts a huge colorful tree that grants healing powers to loopers who land on top of them. Hiding amongst the huge tree are chest spawns, healing mushrooms and a strange plant bulb that glows and keeps moving in its place.

What are Reality Seeds and How to use them in Season 3?

Reality Seeds are a fragment of the Reality Tree that can be obtained upon breaking Reality Bulbs that are scattered around the POI. Once a player pickaxes the bulb and breaks it, they will see 3 floating Reality Seeds in front of them.

reality seed
Loopers can claim seeds upon breaking the reality bulbs

The levitating seeds will then slowly descend to the ground so loopers can claim it. Upon claiming a seed, it will occupy one slot in the player’s loadout. At max, one player can stack 2 reality seeds at a time in a loadout slot.

slurp mushrooms
Slurp Mushrooms growing around the sapling can be gathered to heal

Once the seeds are claimed, the player needs to equip it and throw it in front of them where a blue hologram of a plant sapling would be visible. As soon as the seed is thrown to the ground, a sapling will grow out which will then function as a Reality Sapling across matches.

However, loopers can gather and use slurp mushrooms, grown around the sapling to heal themselves with 10 health or shield units granted to them at a time.

sapling location
Sapling Location will be marked on the extended map view with an icon

Once the player leaves that match, they can spot the sapling icon on their mini-map right before exiting the Battle Bus.

If they choose to jump near the sapling, they will be able to see weed outgrown around the sapling that players would need to interact with, in order for the sapling to bear Reality Fruit.

fruit loot
Loopers can claim Uncommon to Mythic loot from fruits that grow on the sapling

Upon clearing the weed, a Fruit will appear on the sapling that offers weapon, gold bars, ammo and consumable loot to players. The loot tier begins with an Uncommon item type that loopers can claim from the fruit one at a time. Usually, there are three fruits a sapling can bear that offers loot to the player who plants it.

sapling status
Players can see when the weed will outgrow around the sapling and when the fruit is ready to be picked alongside the tier

However, if a player chooses not to claim the fruit in corresponding matches and instead just keeps on clearing the weed, the fruit will grow and evolve the weapon tiers, up until it reaches a level where it grants Mythic weapons to the players. Although, players can see the tier that the fruit is currently in and the time frame when the weed grows out on the left side of their extended map view of the island.

As loopers continue to figure out this strange new addition to the game, some are already using Reality Saplings as their primary spawn loot regardless of the weapon tiers so that they gain combat advantage over their opponents. However, those who aren’t familiar with the concepts of Reality Seeds and Saplings, a weekly quest is waiting for them where they can gather them and experience the magic of the Zero Point themselves.

Is Fortnite Mobile returning to Apple App Store? https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-mobile-app-store-apple-epic-games-lawsuit/39596/ Wed, 22 Sep 2021 16:35:44 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=39596 It’s been over a year since Fortnite Mobile was removed from the Apple App Store, and here’s what we know about its return.

Updated 9/22/2021 – Following an appeal submitted by Epic Games, Apple has confirmed “Fortnite will be blacklisted from the Apple Ecosystem until the exhaustion of all court appeals.” Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, believes this process could take up to 5 years.

On August 13, 2020, Apple removed Fortnite Mobil removed from the App Store. This was because Epic Games added a third-party payment option which is against Apple TOS.

The direct payment method allowed players to pay Epic Games directly in exchange for V-Bucks. Epic incentivized this method of payment by discounting all purchases made directly to Epic Games.

Epic Games filed a lawsuit against Apple with claims the App Store is an anti-competitive marketplace. The Court has finally issued the verdict following a lengthy court process. However, what does this mean for the future of Fortnite Mobile?

Fortnite Apple in game event

Epic Games vs Apple lawsuit verdict

After over a year of legal battle and long wait times, the court has finally issued a verdict in the Epic Games vs Apple lawsuit. The court has decided that “Epic Games overreached” and it sided with Apple on almost all accounts.

The court did not find Apple as an “antitrust monopolist in the submarket” for mobile gaming. The verdict states, “The Court finds in favor of Apple on all counts except with respect to violation of California’s Unfair Competition law and only partially with respect to its claim for Declaratory Relief.

However, the Court is forcing Apple to allow direct purchasing methods which is why Fortnite was banned in the first place. A court document reads, “Apple… are hereby permanently restrained and enjoined from prohibiting developers from including in their apps and their metadata button, external links, or other calls to action that direct customers to purchasing mechanisms, in addition to In-App Purchasing.

Due to the loss, Epic Games has to pay Apple 30% of $12+ million in damages. While Epic Games may have lost, mobile game developers won as a whole. Direct Purchasing will allow developers to make more money from microtransactions.

Fortnite apple trial verdict

Is Fortnite Mobile coming back to Apple App Store?

The official Fortnite Twitter announced that it has requested to have its developer account restored by Apple. However, Apple denied this request stating it would only reinstate the account “if they agree to play by the same rules as everyone else.”

Tim Sweeney, CEO and Founder of Epic Games, doesn’t seem to want to comply. Twitter user imgoldenyt offered a solution that could allow Fortnite to return to iOS. Sweeney responded by saying “I read all of this. I just disagree.”

In a separate tweet, Sweeney claims that the ruling is not a win for developers or consumers. He goes on to state that “Fortnite will return to the iOS App Store when and where Epic can offer in-app payment in fair competition with Apple in-app payment.”

However, on September 22, 2021, Tim Sweeney sent an email to Apple stating that Epic Games would remove its direct payment method. The email once again requested Epic’s developer account to be reinstated.

This tweet from Tim Sweeney shows the email sent to apple from Epic Games.

However, apple once again denied Epic Games’ request. In response back, Apples states that it will “not consider any further requests for reinstatement until the district court’s judgment becomes final and non-appealable.”

In short, Fortnite will be blacklisted from the Apple Ecosystem until the exhaustion of all court appeals. Sweeney believes this process could take up to 5 years.

So it seems that Fortnite won’t be returning to the Apple App Store anytime soon. Apple doesn’t have to reinstate Epic Games’ developer account even though Epic Games is willing to comply with the rules. Sadly, mobile player may have to wait years before Fortnite returns to the App Store.

For more Fortnite, check out when and how to watch the end-of-season event, and stay tuned for more news and guides.
