Here is all about the latest shotgun that was introduced in v21.30 and what players think of it.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has been a joyride for both OG and new players alike. The new mechanics, the reality bloom spreading everywhere, and the addition of new weapons to the game have kept the community satisfied so far.

However, during the beginning of Chapter 3, the shotgun meta was deemed to be the worst shotguns the game had added to the game. The Striker Pump, Ranger, and Auto Shotguns were weapons that players had deemed incompetent to other shotguns in Fortnite.

Much so, even the newly released Two Shot Shotgun couldn’t impress the players with its faster fire rate and damage. So, Epic decided to throw a new shotgun into the mix to seek player reactions and improve the messed-up shotguns in-game.

Prime Shotgun is the new community favorite shotgun in Fortnite

Prime Shotgun was added in the latest update v21.30 to the unvaulted weapons arsenal in Fortnite. The shotguns were the second one introduced to the player base apart from the Two-Shot shotgun.

It holds 4 bullets in a clip and promises heavy damage on the first shot fired from a fully loaded clip. The 3 shots that follow inflict lower damage than that of the first one.

When a player reloads the shotgun, 3 blue dots appear on the gun with the red dot being the first shot being loaded. This brings back the memories of the infamous “One Shot Meta” from the OG days when the community used to perform using a Pump Shotgun.

Pros like NickEh30 sang high praise of the Prime Shotgun as the weapon contains elements of the OG pump in terms of range, accuracy, and firepower. Other pros like SypherPK & Ninja also commented their thoughts on the gun which were highly positive.

With the recent Fortnite update, leaks have also been floating around about the No Sweat Summer and Ice Cream cone consumables that the player base can see in-game in the coming days. However, an official announcement has been made about the same on the official blog website of Fortnite.

Fortnite update v21.30 patch notes: No Sweat Summer event, Prime Shotgun, more https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-update-v21-30-patch-notes-no-sweat-summer-event-prime-shotgun-more/41550/ Mon, 18 Jul 2022 10:14:26 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41550 Ahead of the developers’ summer break, Fortnite has released the v21.30 update. It has arrived with the No Sweat Summer event, map changes like Daily Bloomgle, new Prime Shotgun, and more.

The hype for Fortnite v21.30 was sky-scraping because Epic Games will soon go on a break till the second week of August. This means that the battle royale title won’t experience any live changes for the upcoming weeks, and the latest update should ensure that the community doesn’t get bored.

Fortnite v21.30 brings in a No Sweat Insurance NPC, summer-themed POI, and new No Sweat Summer event quests

Fortnite players desperately wanted to celebrate the summer in battle royale modes this time. Luckily, the No Sweat Summer event is here with the v21.30 update.

No Sweat Insurance quests will replace the Vibin quests for the next four weeks as the Scientist’ research regarding the Reality Tree will be halted temporarily.

No Sweat Summer quests

The latest No Sweat Summer quests in Fortnite are:

  • Land after jumping from the Battle Bus during the No Sweat Summer event
  • Carry the No Sweat sign and place it at a sponsorship location
  • Complete a lap around the boat race circuit after the starting countdown
  • Make a Character dance to a Boogie Bom
  • Emote at different promotional dance floor locations
  • Ring doorbells until they break
  • Catch 3 seconds of air while driving a Motorboat
  • Remove No Sweat signs from recalled products
  • Place the No Sweat signs in an official bin
  • Pop No Sweat Summer inflatable objects
  • Jump on umbrellas along the beach
  • Kick a beach ball and kick a giant beach ball
  • Fire off the Firework Flare Gun at Mighty Monument or Tilted Towers
  • Bust through doors in different neighborhoods
  • Destroy large sea buoys with Motorboat Missiles

These quests will grant 15k XP each and a new Sweaty Sailer umbrella glider will be a free reward for completing them. The quests also indicate that the Boogie Bombs will return soon. The goofy item has been a fan-favorite for ages, and it makes perfect sense for it to return during a Vibin’ themed season.

New summer-themed NPCs will now roam around the island. These include:

  • Unpeely
  • Beach Bomber
  • Summer Drift
  • The Underwriter
  • Boardwalk Ruby

The Underwriter is the newest NPC in Fortnite and represents the New Sweat Insurance building from Tilted Towers. In contrast, Unpeely, Beach Bomber, and Boardwalk Ruby are famous characters who always return during the summer.

Fortnite community to vote for Tilted Tower buildings through Rebuild the Block quests

The restoration of Tilted Towers began in Chapter 3 Season 3. Fortnite asked map builders to come up with their best building designs and nine buildings have made the cut.

In the coming weeks, players will donate bars for the construction projects in Tilted Towers. The building design with the most votes will officially become a part of the POI. This will also help players in completing the Rebuild The Block quests:

  • Donate Bars voting for construction projects on The Block
  • Survive Storm Phases during the Rebuild the Block Event
  • Eliminate enemy players during the Rebuild the Block Event
  • Complete Rebuild the Block quest stages (3/7/12).

It is clear that we’ll witness new Rebuild The Block quests every week and the developers are yet to reveal the subsequent stages.

To be fair, the XP crisis in Chapter 3 Season 3 could come to an end now as every Rebuild The Block quest will reward players with 14,000 XP.

New Prime Shotgun and consumable Ice-Cream item enter the loot pool with Fortnite v21.30

A brand-new Prime Shotgun will be available in chests, supply drops, and floor loot with v21.30. The stats of this weapon at Rare rarity are:

  • DPS-88
  • Reload Time-4.5
  • Spread-1
  • Clip size– 4
  • Headshot damage– 138
  • Fire Rate– 1.05

Leaks have revealed that the Prime Shotgun is an explosive weapon with a surprisingly long range for a shotgun. Its damage output is brilliant and the slow fire rate seems to be the only downside.

New consumable items have been added in the form of Ice Cones. These include:

  • Lil Whip’s Special Serve for Health and Shield
  • Guzzling Icecream Cone which slowly heals health
  • Frozen Iceream Cone for Health and it makes things slippery
  • Icecream Cone for Health
  • Spicy Icecream Cone for Health and Shield

Interestingly, the files of the Burst SMG have been updated as well and it might return soon.

Daily Bugle changes to Daily Bloomgle in Fortnite v21.30 and other map changes

Epic Games has continued the amazing map changes in Chapter 3 Season 3 with the latest update. Daily Bugle, under the effect of the Reality Tree, is now called Daily Bloomgle. As usual, it will now switch between themes based on Neo Tilted, Coral Castle, Colossal Coliseum, and more.

The Reality Tree will continue to grow and after Daily Bugle, it’ll reach Condo Canyon.

Last but not least, a summer-themed stage will be set up on the island for No Sweat Summer. This is where players can expect to complete their event-based quests and earn a ton of XP.

Hotfix updates will be released weekly but no major Fortnite updates will arrive for almost a month now. The developers have already added weekly quests till Week 10, and the Dragon Ball Z crossover will be released after the break.

Fortnite brings back Port-A-Fort to the game in v21.20 https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-brings-back-port-a-fort-to-the-game-in-v21-20/41543/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 19:14:45 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41543 Port-A-Fort has been in Fortnite since Chapter 1 and has been vaulted and unvaulted several times by the developers, depending upon the requirement of the item in-game. With the latest v21.20, the item is unvaulted once again for players to enjoy even in Zero Build to gain a massive gameplay advantage.

Fortnite consists of several items that the OG player base enjoyed back when the game was at its peak days. From Junk Rifts to Hoverboards, the community still misses those items from Chapter 1 and has been waiting ever since to be added back to the game.

While some items like Ballers, Traps, and Quadcrashers have returned to the game on a regular basis, items like Storm Flip, Junk Rifts, and Rocket Launchers have been left in the past. However, with the most recent v21.20 update, an item nobody expected to return was unvaulted and pros are loving it.

Port-A-Fort was unvaulted in a recent major Fortnite update where players who like to claim the high ground would once again be able to use it to their advantage. Not just that, the ones in Zero Build will also have an equal opportunity to experience the feel of the high ground as well.

Port-A-Fort gets unvaulted in Fortnite and Zero Build mode

A rather convenient device known for using “Zero Builds”, Port-A-Fort has been a favorite amongst the player base ever since Chapter 1 as sweats tend to use it to claim a high ground faster above their enemies and set traps for those who dare to enter their fort.

Moreover, the device helps players who are not good at building, gain a fair chance over those who are known for cranking speed 90s over their opponents and are quick with their edits. The return of Port-A-Fort was highly appreciated not just by new players but also by pros and veterans like SypherPK.

Sypher tweeted recently about how pleased he was with the unvaulting of Port-A-Fort and how it is a huge step for players who love to play Zero Build. Now they will have an equal opportunity to gain a high ground over their opponents and secure an easy Victory Royale.

However, in other news, the convenient item for builders is not available in competitive mode at the moment until further updates arrive. This might be due to several changes Epic is making with the competitive side of Fortnite which also might include the stability issues of the entire gameplay experience.

As players welcome back the classic Port-A-Fort back into the game, they seem unhappy about the addition of the new Charge SMG in the game. As far as SMGs go, this is not a favorable weapon to use when one engages in a sweaty situation while in a build fight or even in a fight inside your fort.

Combat SMG removed from Fortnite in v21.20 and replaced with new Charge SMG https://www.fortniteintel.com/combat-smg-removed-from-fortnite-in-v21-20-and-replaced-with-new-charge-smg/41540/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 16:37:35 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41540 Fortnite recently replaced one of its most used SMGs, the Combat SMG weapon with a more powerful Charge SMG in the latest v21.20 update. At a time when the SMG meta was going strong, this major move changed the opinions of the player base about the need for replacement.

The weapons meta in Fortnite Chapter 3 has evolved over time as players continue to discover new ways to use the overpowered weapons arsenal in their matches. With the disliking of Shotguns in this chapter, players have shifted their focus on choosing ARs and SMGs as preferred weapons in their loadout.

Back in Chapter 3 Season 1, players saw the potential in SMGs being overpowered in the game and developed a Pray and Spray meta to use them to lead themselves to a Victory Royale. The combination of an MK-Seven Assault Rifle and a Stinger SMG was mostly favored by the players as they went to combat against their opponents.

But with the launch of Chapter 3 Season 3, the Hammer Assault Rifle and Combat SMG were used in a similar fashion, although not as overpowering as its predecessor. However, in a recent update, Epic chose to replace the favored Combat SMG with a new Charge SMG that promises heavy damage and a stronger fire rate.

Charge SMG replaces Combat SMG in Fortnite v21.20

In a rather unexpected update, Fortnite chose to replace one of its most popular SMGs with a more powerful Charge SMG across all playlists. The weapon requires the player to hold down the fire button to charge the weapon similar to a Charge Shotgun and release a barrage of bullets upon their opponents.

The shorter the time the fire button is held, the smaller the duration of the fire barrage will be and vice versa. The weapon also has a cooldown rate similar to the Charge Shotgun which applies after a heavy fire barrage if the fire button is held down longer.

In addition to the update, Fortnite also tweeted that the Combat SMG has been removed from all playlists and has been vaulted indefinitely. However, the Charge SMG will not be available in the Competitive playlists until quite some time.

Looking at the above gameplay for the Charge SMG, pros and several players are already dissing the new weapon for its slower reload time and heavy recoil. The weapon takes too much time to charge the barrage and once released, cannot target an enemy faster than the Stinger SMG.

Pros like SypherPK, NickEh30, and TypicalGamer have all expressed their dislike of the weapon and would rather play with the Combat SMG than the new SMG added to the game. Apart from this major change, several map changes, unvaulting of Port-A-Fort, the addition of new movement mechanics in Save The World, and more were seen in the latest v21.20 update that the community sang praises of.

Fortnite adds new movement mechanics to Save The World with v21.20 update https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-adds-new-movement-mechanics-to-save-the-world-with-v21-20-update/41537/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 16:02:42 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41537 After a long time finally, Fortnite’s PvE campaign Save the World receives major updates with v21.20 and players cannot be happier. It has been almost a year since the game received an update with the latest game mechanics and things are looking good for the game mode more than ever.

Save The World campaign has been around in Fortnite ever since its initial days. Some OG players would say that the game mode itself was the actual Fortnite and still is due to its originality in the storyline and the classic graphics it boasts.

During Chapter 2 of the Battle Royale game mode, players slowly parted ways with Save The World, once it came out of Early Access and was accessible to anyone who bought a special cosmetic pack from the Item Shop. As a result, Epic also stopped updating the game mode with the latest mechanics and features and instead shifted its focus to Battle Royale.

But ever since the launch of Chapter 3, when Epic decided to add animals to the PvE campaign, players were hoping to finally get some latest Sprint, Mantle, and Crouch mechanics to the game mode soon enough. Looks like the day has finally arrived and Epic has indeed added some major updates to the game mode.

Epic adds new Movement Mechanics to Save The World in the latest update

Save The World game mode has just received a major update in the form of the latest movement mechanics as Sprinting, Sliding, Mantling, Crouching, and Shoulder Bashing Doors gets added to it. Now players can use the latest movement mechanics they have been using in Battle Royale game mode in Save The World and fight the Husk Monsters in their own unique way.

Fortnite also posted some clips on their official blog alongside the Homebase Status report v21.20 of how players can use the Ninja hero in their loadout and climb greater heights by combining the mantle feature with a double jump.

In addition to these features, Epic also added Fennix as the next hero to enter the PvE campaign and has given a dedicated questline called Flight of the Fennix to the character. Players can now jump in the game and complete quests linked to Fennix to acquire the hero in their loadout and use its ferocious powers to Save The World.

As Epic continues to improve the stability of its Battle Royale and Creative game modes, it is surely pleasing to see that finally Save The World is receiving a similar treatment with major changes being made to improve its gameplay experience. Nevertheless, the player base speculates in the coming days the PvE will also receive the popular Overshield feature as they experience in Zero Build as well as some new weapons added to their loadout.

Fortnite v21.20 update introduces Indiana Jones skin, quests, Shuffled Shrines POI, more https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-v21-20-update-introduces-indiana-jones-skin-quests-shuffled-shrines-poi-more/41515/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 09:49:51 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41515 As expected, the Temple Bloom landmark has gone through significant changes in Fortnite v21.20. It is now called Shuffled Shrines and you must visit it to complete the Indiana Jones quests.

Indiana Jones is the secret skin in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass. Following weeks of anticipation, the 21.20 update has finally introduced quests that will help players in unlocking the outfit as well as other cosmetics.

Here’s everything related to Indiana Jones that is a part of Fortnite v21.20.

Indiana Jones quests in Fortnite are now live

The following quests and rewards are now available in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 for Battle Pass owners:

  • Search chests at Shifty Shafts (5)- Indiana Jones Banner Icon
  • Damage opponents while riding or standing on a vehicle (500) – Rogue Archaeology wrap
  • Use the Grapple Glove to swing off trees (10)- Raider’s Relics harvesting tool
  • Collect the Durrburger Relic from The Temple and The Ruins in a single match- Expedition Bag backbling
  • Find the Secret Door past the main chamber in Shuffled Shrines- Indy’s Dustoff emote
  • Stash a Mythic or Exotic item in a tent- Indy’s Escape spray
  • Make Runaway Boulders roll for 100 meters in a single match- First Misadventure Loading Screen
  • Finish top 5 in a match- Emergency Raft glider

While completing four of these quests will grant the Indiana Jones outfit to players, they can unlock a Temple Explorer style by completing ten challenges.

Shuffled Shrines POI in Fortnite has new gameplay mechanics, Idol Artifacts, and more

The Temple Bloom landmark has now turned into a new location called Shuffled Shrines which is dedicated to Indiana Jones. Accordingly, you will experience the following elements there:

  • Emote unlocked doors
  • Different music
  • Puzzles
  • Traps
    • Allow Walls
    • Stream Traps
    • Poison Darts
    • Explosives
    • Trigger Plates
  • Torches

There will be a wide range of traps in Shuffled Shrines because players will have to collect Idol Artifacts from this location. Moreover, there will be three threat levels.

The Idol Artifacts represent Durr Burger, Tomato Head, and Object of Power. They will help in opening a treasure vault, and Fortnite will tell players if they’ve succeeded or failed in properly exploring the Indiana Jones temple.

Interestingly, the Object of Power artifact has three parts. You have to collect all three to make the fourth and final artifact.

The Shuffled Shrines POI has a secret door that is also mentioned in the quests. Players first have to enter a code to open it and then pass traps to collect the artifact. Upon collection, they have to again pass through traps and make it out alive like in the movies.

It is evident that Fortnite v21.20 has primarily focused on Indiana Jones and there are countless Easter Eggs for you to discover. Even though the cosmetics are restricted to Battle Royale owners, the new and adventurous Shuffled Shrines POI is open to everyone.

How to unlock free Xander skin in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 https://www.fortniteintel.com/how-to-unlock-free-xander-skin-in-fortnite-chapter-3-season-3/41512/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 09:05:05 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41512 It seemed like Fortnite forgot about Xander after adding the skin to the files in Chapter 2 Season 5. The outfit is a part of the latest 21.20 update and players will be able to unlock it for free by completing some Refer-a-Friend challenges.

Alongside Madcap, Xander is easily one of the most anticipated skins in the history of Fortnite. It has been in the files for years, and Epic Games is releasing it in Chapter 3 Season 3 as a free reward.

Fortnite players can unlock Xander through the Refer-a-friend program

Fortnite’s Refer-a-Friend program is basically a way to bring new players to the game. Epic Games’ battle royale title definitely looks great at the moment, and now might be a suitable time for you to introduce your friends to it.

Here’s how one can get Xander by referring a friend:

  • Visit Epic Games’ Refer-a-Friend website (the website isn’t available yet, we’ll update the article as soon as it goes live)
  • Log in with your Epic Games account.
  • Once signed in, you can refer up to five players (existing or new). However, they must have played the game (Battle Royale matches) for less than two hours in the last 30 days.

After registering the ‘referees’, you simply need to play games with them and earn free cosmetic rewards. This time around, the free rewards will be the Xander outfit and other cosmetics related to him such as a banner and spray.

Fortnite Xander skin
Xander skin in Fortnite

For now, leakers haven’t disclosed the specific challenges. Back in October 2021, Epic Games released Rainbow Racer as a free reward for the Refer-a-Friend program but the final challenge turned out to be very challenging. So much so that players gave up on unlocking the free skin.

UPDATE: The Refer-a-Friend challenges have been leaked:

  • Play 1 Game with your Referred Friend (BR & Zero Build Supported) –
  • Place Top 10 3 times with your Referred Friend (BR & Zero Build Supported)
  • Eliminate 10 Opponents with your Referred Friend (BR & Zero Build Supported)
  • Have both accounts gain at least 60 account levels since having started the program.

It is evident that unlocking free rewards in Fortnite has been quite a tedious process lately. While playing 100 Fall Guys rounds for Major Mancake was manageable for some players, The Nindo challenges for a free wrap and glider triggered the free-to-play community.

Fortnite v21.20 early patch notes: Indiana Jones, No Sweat Summer, Luke Skywalker skin, more https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-v21-20-early-patch-notes-indiana-jones-no-sweat-summer-luke-skywalker-skin-more/41479/ Mon, 04 Jul 2022 12:34:40 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41479 Fortnite is all set to release the 21.20 update on July 6, 2022. Indiana Jones will finally become available in the Battle Pass, No Sweat Summer content will arrive in Battle Royale modes, and as usual, the Reality Tree will continue to grow.

The community has sky-scraping expectations from Fortnite v21.20. Even though map changes have been frequent and brilliant in Chapter 3 Season 3, the No Sweat Summer event and the XP system (in terms of more opportunities to earn XP) certainly need improvement.

Reality Root growing in Fortnite
Reality Roots that are heading towards Sleepy Sound in Fortnite (Image via JayKey/FN)

Here’s everything players can expect in the second major update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Fortnite Reality Tree to affect Condo Canyon, Sleepy Sound, and Temple Bloom in v21.10

First and foremost, the Reality Tree will reach major locations like Sleepy Sound. Loopers have discovered a new set of roots near Shifty Shafts and they’re most likely heading towards Sleepy.

Another location where we will see the influence of the Reality Tree is Condo Canyon. Interestingly, leakers have already revealed the upcoming themes. Like Butter Bloom and Logjam Lotus, Sleepy Sound and Condo Canyon will have recurring themes which include:

  • Froniter
  • Coliseum
  • Coral Castle
  • Neo Tillted for Sleepy Sound and Lazy Lagoon for Condo Canyon

There’s a Reality Root near the Temple Bloom landmark as well. HYPEX has revealed that one of the themes in Temple Bloom is codenamed The Tower in the files, and that’s the only information we have for now.

There’s a possibility that v21.20 only focuses on Condo Canyon and Sleepy Sound as the developers are yet to add the updated version of Temple Bloom in the files.

New Indiana Jones skin and temple to arrive in Fortnite v21.20

Indiana Jones is the secret skin in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass. It cannot be unlocked at the moment, and will be available from July 7, 2022. Loopers who own the Battle Pass wil have to complete special quests to unlock the cosmetics which include:

  • Indiana Jones outfit
  • Indiana Jones Banner Icon
  • Raider’s Relics Harvesting Tool
  • Rogue Archaology Wrap
  • Expedition Bag Back Bling

It is worth noting that these are the cosmetics on Page 1. These will not only become unlockable with v21.20, but you’ll also be able to get a look at the next page.

Even though this might be a stretch, but many players believe that Indiana Jones will get his own spawn location. The aforementioned Temple Bloom POI could turn into a temple dedicated for the Indiana Jones boss/NPC. However, readers must take this claim with a huge grain of salt.

New No Sweat Summer content coming to Fortnite Battle Royale

The Island Hopper quests were decent, but players were disappointed to see them as the only ‘summer event’ content. However, leakers like iFireMonkey and Epic Games itself have claimed that more summer content is coming.

NPcs like Unpeely, Summer Drift, and Boardwalk Ruby, and vehicles like Surfboards will return to BR modes. Moreover, you can look forward to completing summer-themed quests in Battle Royale that should grant XP and free cosmetics.

Battle Royale content will certainly help in making No Sweat Summer 2022 one of the best summer events in Fortnite’s history.

Luke Skywalker NPC

Epic Games has released a ton of Star-Wars content in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 which includes Darth Vader as a boss and his skin in the Battle Pass as a tier 100 reward. HYPEX has disclosed that there’s a Lightsaber in the files for a Luke NPC.

Based on the leak, it is safe to assume that Luke Skywalker will be released as an NPC and a skin, like this father. However, it is uncertain if he’ll be a part of the upcoming update.

Last but not least, weekly quests for Week 5/ Week 6 and Vibin’ quests will be added to files with Fortnite v21.20. There aren’t any solid leaks regarding weapons as we’ve already received three new weapons (Two-Shot shotgun, Hammer AR, and DMR) this season.

Fortnite v21.30 will release on July 19, 2022 following which Epic Games will take a summer break that will take place between July 24 and August 12.

Fortnite nerfs the Visualize Sound Effects range in Season 3 update https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-nerfs-the-visualize-sound-effects-range-in-season-3-update/41359/ Wed, 29 Jun 2022 16:02:57 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41359 After a long wait, Epic finally fixes the most broken feature of Fortnite that sweats were just tired of ever since the beginning of Chapter 3. Visualize Sound Effects was a feature which was recently nerfed in an update where players got to experience it as they jumped into a Battle Royale match.

Fortnite has had a history of broken features and glitches that have been well exploited by the player community over the last few years. From XP Glitch Maps to weapons meta, players have been using these exploits to gain a gameplay advantage that sometimes ends up getting them banned for their actions.

While some actions or exploits get them banned, others are just bugs in the game that is an error from the developer’s end that they take it casual enough to fix. One such exploit that was legit in the game was Visualize Sound Effects in sound settings.

When one enables the option, they can see visual cues of chests, gunfire, footsteps, reboot vans or even if someone is healing nearby. This then aids a player in judging the direction where the activity is happening and respond to it.

Ever since Chapter 3, this option was broken as players were able to hear the sound of gunfire, footsteps or even healing from afar which was an advantage to several sweats who always love to rush their opponents and engage in close combat. But in a recent update in Season 3, Epic finally decided to nerf it for good.

Epic nerfs Visualize Audio range as it’s not broken anymore

In last week’s update of v21.10, Epic nerfed the range of Visualize Sound Effects option as it was one of the most broken features in the game. Players weren’t informed nor were aware of this major change that took place in Fortnite until they tried it out themselves.

The update has fixed the distance and the radius of the Visual Audio cues one gets upon going near Chests, hearing footsteps or gunfire. After the update, players will only be able to see visual cues if they are approx. 100m close to the objects or their opponents which is a major relief to casual players or campers.

While casual players or noobs enjoy this news, sweats are surely unhappy and so are players who basically need these hearing aid options in-game to help them orient their gameplay. Moreover, this major change by Epic in one of the oldest Fortnite settings was not announced in any of the patch notes or their official Twitter handle, which it should have, according to the player-base.

However, players think that this fix might be a random update as Visual Audio has always been messy in-game ever since it was added. From reboot vans sounding from miles away to footsteps being heard from a long distance, Epic still needs to put in some work to fix those audio issues.

Fortnite landmark Butter Barn now has three forms, thanks to Reality Tree https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-landmark-butter-barn-now-has-three-forms-thanks-to-reality-tree/41376/ Tue, 28 Jun 2022 11:04:30 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41376 Butter ‘Bloom’ is the newest location in Fortnite to be affected by the infamous Reality Tree. The landmark will now have three themes based on OG POIs like Coral Castle.

The mysterious Reality Tree in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is controlling the island in a manner that we’ve never seen before. Locations like Logjam Lotus and Butter Bloom now magically change themes, and it is hard to claim if this phenomenon is worth celebrating (from the storyline’s perspective).

Here’s everything players need to know about the latest map changes in Fortnite.

New Butter Bloom themes released in Fortnite Chapter 3

Butter Barn is now called Butter Bloom, and it will switch between the following themes:

  • Roman theme- Coliseum
  • Atlantis- Coral Castle
  • Neo Tilted

In its Neo Tilted form, Butter Barn will feature buildings like Peely’s Banana Stand, the Pump Gym, and gas stations.

Butter Barn as Neo Tilted in Fortnite

The Coliseum theme is similar to the one in Logjam Lotus.

The landmark gets fortified and the buildings represent Roman Architecture.

Butter Barn as Colossal Colosseum in Fortnite
Butter Bloom’s Roman theme in Fortnite Chapter 3

The final theme is Atlantis with which Butter Bloom turns into a miniature Coral Castle. Vintage dome-shaped buildings surround the region and there’s a small pool as well.

Will Coral Castle finally become relevant in Fortnite?

The indirect return of Coral Castle has received a mixed response from the community. While some believe that Epic Games should have picked a more prevalent POI for Butter Bloom’s Atlantis theme, others are elated that Coral Castle is now located in a much better position strategically.

Back in Chapter 2, it was the most despised location on the map (like Daily Bugle in Chapter 3). Even though there was good loot, players were ignorant due to its location which affected rotations, and the unusual landscape.

Butter Barn as Coral Castle in Fortnite
Butter Bloom with Coral Castle theme in Fortnite

In contrast, Butter Bloom is a great spot in Chapter 3 and the Coral theme should not prevent players from landing here. To be fair, Coral Castle is one of the most beautiful locations in Fortnite history but loopers neglected it owing to its position on the map.

Hence, Coral Castle might get its well-deserved credit in Chapter 3.

It is worth noting that after turning Butter Barn into Butter Bloom, the Reality Tree’s roots have already reached Temple Bloom. The landmark is located south of The Sanctuary, and we might witness similar map changes there as well.
