According to various leaks, the cones will have their own different abilities and will each be of a different color. Here’s a guide on how to use them.

Fortnite has had a history of interesting consumables that have been around since Chapter 1. From Shield to Slurp Mushrooms, the way players gain health and shields in the game has relatively changed over the years.

Ever since fishing arrived at the Battle Royale island in Chapter 2, the consumables in the game saw a huge variation ranging from fishes that can give thermal vision, faster speed, hopping powers, and revealed the enemy locations.

Similarly, the consumables ranging from Chillies to Coconuts also have the same abilities apart from their health-granting prowess. In a recent game update v21.30, leaks showed that an Ice Cream cone consumable will soon arrive in Fortnite and it can feature in several variations, giving different abilities.

How to use Ice Cream cones

Ice Creams are the next soon-to-be-released consumables that will be added to Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 island. The consumable has 4 different types of cones namely Freeze, Guzzle, Chug, and Spicy.

All of the above-mentioned variants are based on existing consumables in Fortnite that have a similar ability. There has been no news so far of how they will function or where can one get them but for the use case, anyone can use it like a regular consumable and it will grant health or shield based on that.

The stats shown above indicate every cone’s health and shield stats that they grant a player upon consumption. The upcoming summer update has the community hyped more than ever before with more leaks surfacing after the update v21.30.

It sure seems like Ice Cream cones will be the next favorite consumables that the community would be using on the go during their fast-paced battles. However, once the summer update drops, we’ll update this article with more info on how to use them.

Fortnite introduces the new Prime Shotgun in update v21.30 https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-introduces-the-new-prime-shotgun-in-update-v21-30/41566/ Tue, 19 Jul 2022 04:29:29 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41566 Prime Shotgun is another addition to Fortnite this season in terms of weaponry that has been added to the game. Here is all about the latest shotgun that was introduced in v21.30 and what players think of it.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has been a joyride for both OG and new players alike. The new mechanics, the reality bloom spreading everywhere, and the addition of new weapons to the game have kept the community satisfied so far.

However, during the beginning of Chapter 3, the shotgun meta was deemed to be the worst shotguns the game had added to the game. The Striker Pump, Ranger, and Auto Shotguns were weapons that players had deemed incompetent to other shotguns in Fortnite.

Much so, even the newly released Two Shot Shotgun couldn’t impress the players with its faster fire rate and damage. So, Epic decided to throw a new shotgun into the mix to seek player reactions and improve the messed-up shotguns in-game.

Prime Shotgun is the new community favorite shotgun in Fortnite

Prime Shotgun was added in the latest update v21.30 to the unvaulted weapons arsenal in Fortnite. The shotguns were the second one introduced to the player base apart from the Two-Shot shotgun.

It holds 4 bullets in a clip and promises heavy damage on the first shot fired from a fully loaded clip. The 3 shots that follow inflict lower damage than that of the first one.

When a player reloads the shotgun, 3 blue dots appear on the gun with the red dot being the first shot being loaded. This brings back the memories of the infamous “One Shot Meta” from the OG days when the community used to perform using a Pump Shotgun.

Pros like NickEh30 sang high praise of the Prime Shotgun as the weapon contains elements of the OG pump in terms of range, accuracy, and firepower. Other pros like SypherPK & Ninja also commented their thoughts on the gun which were highly positive.

With the recent Fortnite update, leaks have also been floating around about the No Sweat Summer and Ice Cream cone consumables that the player base can see in-game in the coming days. However, an official announcement has been made about the same on the official blog website of Fortnite.

Fortnite update v21.30 patch notes: No Sweat Summer event, Prime Shotgun, more https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-update-v21-30-patch-notes-no-sweat-summer-event-prime-shotgun-more/41550/ Mon, 18 Jul 2022 10:14:26 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41550 Ahead of the developers’ summer break, Fortnite has released the v21.30 update. It has arrived with the No Sweat Summer event, map changes like Daily Bloomgle, new Prime Shotgun, and more.

The hype for Fortnite v21.30 was sky-scraping because Epic Games will soon go on a break till the second week of August. This means that the battle royale title won’t experience any live changes for the upcoming weeks, and the latest update should ensure that the community doesn’t get bored.

Fortnite v21.30 brings in a No Sweat Insurance NPC, summer-themed POI, and new No Sweat Summer event quests

Fortnite players desperately wanted to celebrate the summer in battle royale modes this time. Luckily, the No Sweat Summer event is here with the v21.30 update.

No Sweat Insurance quests will replace the Vibin quests for the next four weeks as the Scientist’ research regarding the Reality Tree will be halted temporarily.

No Sweat Summer quests

The latest No Sweat Summer quests in Fortnite are:

  • Land after jumping from the Battle Bus during the No Sweat Summer event
  • Carry the No Sweat sign and place it at a sponsorship location
  • Complete a lap around the boat race circuit after the starting countdown
  • Make a Character dance to a Boogie Bom
  • Emote at different promotional dance floor locations
  • Ring doorbells until they break
  • Catch 3 seconds of air while driving a Motorboat
  • Remove No Sweat signs from recalled products
  • Place the No Sweat signs in an official bin
  • Pop No Sweat Summer inflatable objects
  • Jump on umbrellas along the beach
  • Kick a beach ball and kick a giant beach ball
  • Fire off the Firework Flare Gun at Mighty Monument or Tilted Towers
  • Bust through doors in different neighborhoods
  • Destroy large sea buoys with Motorboat Missiles

These quests will grant 15k XP each and a new Sweaty Sailer umbrella glider will be a free reward for completing them. The quests also indicate that the Boogie Bombs will return soon. The goofy item has been a fan-favorite for ages, and it makes perfect sense for it to return during a Vibin’ themed season.

New summer-themed NPCs will now roam around the island. These include:

  • Unpeely
  • Beach Bomber
  • Summer Drift
  • The Underwriter
  • Boardwalk Ruby

The Underwriter is the newest NPC in Fortnite and represents the New Sweat Insurance building from Tilted Towers. In contrast, Unpeely, Beach Bomber, and Boardwalk Ruby are famous characters who always return during the summer.

Fortnite community to vote for Tilted Tower buildings through Rebuild the Block quests

The restoration of Tilted Towers began in Chapter 3 Season 3. Fortnite asked map builders to come up with their best building designs and nine buildings have made the cut.

In the coming weeks, players will donate bars for the construction projects in Tilted Towers. The building design with the most votes will officially become a part of the POI. This will also help players in completing the Rebuild The Block quests:

  • Donate Bars voting for construction projects on The Block
  • Survive Storm Phases during the Rebuild the Block Event
  • Eliminate enemy players during the Rebuild the Block Event
  • Complete Rebuild the Block quest stages (3/7/12).

It is clear that we’ll witness new Rebuild The Block quests every week and the developers are yet to reveal the subsequent stages.

To be fair, the XP crisis in Chapter 3 Season 3 could come to an end now as every Rebuild The Block quest will reward players with 14,000 XP.

New Prime Shotgun and consumable Ice-Cream item enter the loot pool with Fortnite v21.30

A brand-new Prime Shotgun will be available in chests, supply drops, and floor loot with v21.30. The stats of this weapon at Rare rarity are:

  • DPS-88
  • Reload Time-4.5
  • Spread-1
  • Clip size– 4
  • Headshot damage– 138
  • Fire Rate– 1.05

Leaks have revealed that the Prime Shotgun is an explosive weapon with a surprisingly long range for a shotgun. Its damage output is brilliant and the slow fire rate seems to be the only downside.

New consumable items have been added in the form of Ice Cones. These include:

  • Lil Whip’s Special Serve for Health and Shield
  • Guzzling Icecream Cone which slowly heals health
  • Frozen Iceream Cone for Health and it makes things slippery
  • Icecream Cone for Health
  • Spicy Icecream Cone for Health and Shield

Interestingly, the files of the Burst SMG have been updated as well and it might return soon.

Daily Bugle changes to Daily Bloomgle in Fortnite v21.30 and other map changes

Epic Games has continued the amazing map changes in Chapter 3 Season 3 with the latest update. Daily Bugle, under the effect of the Reality Tree, is now called Daily Bloomgle. As usual, it will now switch between themes based on Neo Tilted, Coral Castle, Colossal Coliseum, and more.

The Reality Tree will continue to grow and after Daily Bugle, it’ll reach Condo Canyon.

Last but not least, a summer-themed stage will be set up on the island for No Sweat Summer. This is where players can expect to complete their event-based quests and earn a ton of XP.

Hotfix updates will be released weekly but no major Fortnite updates will arrive for almost a month now. The developers have already added weekly quests till Week 10, and the Dragon Ball Z crossover will be released after the break.

Fortnite brings back Port-A-Fort to the game in v21.20 https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-brings-back-port-a-fort-to-the-game-in-v21-20/41543/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 19:14:45 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41543 Port-A-Fort has been in Fortnite since Chapter 1 and has been vaulted and unvaulted several times by the developers, depending upon the requirement of the item in-game. With the latest v21.20, the item is unvaulted once again for players to enjoy even in Zero Build to gain a massive gameplay advantage.

Fortnite consists of several items that the OG player base enjoyed back when the game was at its peak days. From Junk Rifts to Hoverboards, the community still misses those items from Chapter 1 and has been waiting ever since to be added back to the game.

While some items like Ballers, Traps, and Quadcrashers have returned to the game on a regular basis, items like Storm Flip, Junk Rifts, and Rocket Launchers have been left in the past. However, with the most recent v21.20 update, an item nobody expected to return was unvaulted and pros are loving it.

Port-A-Fort was unvaulted in a recent major Fortnite update where players who like to claim the high ground would once again be able to use it to their advantage. Not just that, the ones in Zero Build will also have an equal opportunity to experience the feel of the high ground as well.

Port-A-Fort gets unvaulted in Fortnite and Zero Build mode

A rather convenient device known for using “Zero Builds”, Port-A-Fort has been a favorite amongst the player base ever since Chapter 1 as sweats tend to use it to claim a high ground faster above their enemies and set traps for those who dare to enter their fort.

Moreover, the device helps players who are not good at building, gain a fair chance over those who are known for cranking speed 90s over their opponents and are quick with their edits. The return of Port-A-Fort was highly appreciated not just by new players but also by pros and veterans like SypherPK.

Sypher tweeted recently about how pleased he was with the unvaulting of Port-A-Fort and how it is a huge step for players who love to play Zero Build. Now they will have an equal opportunity to gain a high ground over their opponents and secure an easy Victory Royale.

However, in other news, the convenient item for builders is not available in competitive mode at the moment until further updates arrive. This might be due to several changes Epic is making with the competitive side of Fortnite which also might include the stability issues of the entire gameplay experience.

As players welcome back the classic Port-A-Fort back into the game, they seem unhappy about the addition of the new Charge SMG in the game. As far as SMGs go, this is not a favorable weapon to use when one engages in a sweaty situation while in a build fight or even in a fight inside your fort.

Fortnite adds new movement mechanics to Save The World with v21.20 update https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-adds-new-movement-mechanics-to-save-the-world-with-v21-20-update/41537/ Wed, 06 Jul 2022 16:02:42 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41537 After a long time finally, Fortnite’s PvE campaign Save the World receives major updates with v21.20 and players cannot be happier. It has been almost a year since the game received an update with the latest game mechanics and things are looking good for the game mode more than ever.

Save The World campaign has been around in Fortnite ever since its initial days. Some OG players would say that the game mode itself was the actual Fortnite and still is due to its originality in the storyline and the classic graphics it boasts.

During Chapter 2 of the Battle Royale game mode, players slowly parted ways with Save The World, once it came out of Early Access and was accessible to anyone who bought a special cosmetic pack from the Item Shop. As a result, Epic also stopped updating the game mode with the latest mechanics and features and instead shifted its focus to Battle Royale.

But ever since the launch of Chapter 3, when Epic decided to add animals to the PvE campaign, players were hoping to finally get some latest Sprint, Mantle, and Crouch mechanics to the game mode soon enough. Looks like the day has finally arrived and Epic has indeed added some major updates to the game mode.

Epic adds new Movement Mechanics to Save The World in the latest update

Save The World game mode has just received a major update in the form of the latest movement mechanics as Sprinting, Sliding, Mantling, Crouching, and Shoulder Bashing Doors gets added to it. Now players can use the latest movement mechanics they have been using in Battle Royale game mode in Save The World and fight the Husk Monsters in their own unique way.

Fortnite also posted some clips on their official blog alongside the Homebase Status report v21.20 of how players can use the Ninja hero in their loadout and climb greater heights by combining the mantle feature with a double jump.

In addition to these features, Epic also added Fennix as the next hero to enter the PvE campaign and has given a dedicated questline called Flight of the Fennix to the character. Players can now jump in the game and complete quests linked to Fennix to acquire the hero in their loadout and use its ferocious powers to Save The World.

As Epic continues to improve the stability of its Battle Royale and Creative game modes, it is surely pleasing to see that finally Save The World is receiving a similar treatment with major changes being made to improve its gameplay experience. Nevertheless, the player base speculates in the coming days the PvE will also receive the popular Overshield feature as they experience in Zero Build as well as some new weapons added to their loadout.

Fortnite v21.20 update delayed by a day and here’s why https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-v21-20-update-delayed-by-a-day-and-heres-why/41491/ Tue, 05 Jul 2022 10:00:39 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41491 Amidst the community’s sky-scraping expectations, Fortnite has delayed the v21.20 update. From its new release date to early patch notes, here’s everything we know about the upcoming patch so far.

To say the least, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has been a roller coaster ride until now. While the map changes have been brilliant, the game has been really unstable with Unreal Engine 5. Moreover, there haven’t been enough ways for players to steadily level up their Battle Pass and unlock skins like Darth Vader.

Fortnite No Sweat Summer artwork
Fortnite community expects more No Sweat Summer content in v21.20 update

This explains why loopers eagerly await updates as they contain a ton of content such as bug fixes, new quests, and events. However, the v21.20 update that should have been released today has been delayed by a day.

Fortnite Cash Cups to take place on July 5 instead of the v21.20 update

From leakers to content creators to casuals, almost everyone in the community missed an announcement by Fortnite regarding this season’s Cash Cups.

Apparently, Round 2 Duos Cash Cup and Duos Contender & Open Hype Cups are taking place on July 5 instead of July 6 because of game updates arriving around the same time. This clearly indicates that the v21.20 update will now be released on July 6.

This is in contrast to Fortnite’s previous announcement in which the developers wanted pros to keep an eye on the Temple Bloom landmark. Loopers spotted a Reality Root there, which has always led to significant map changes.

From the looks of it, v21.20 was originally scheduled for July 5 as Fortnite has been constantly releasing updates on Tuesdays. It is certainly surprising that the developers have broken this pattern already.

What to expect from Fortnite v21.20 in Chapter 3 Season 3?

Even though Epic Games itself talked about the changes in Temple Bloom, leakers haven’t discovered anything related to it in the files. What’s more startling is the fact that the upcoming themes for Condo Canyon and Sleepy Sound are already here.

Apart from map changes, Indiana Jones and his cosmetics will become available from July 7, 2022. This also means that loopers will have new quests to complete which include a new set of Weekly and Vibin’ challenges.

Last but not least, the Battle Royale modes should finally get some No Sweat Summer content including NPCs (Unpeely, Summer Drift, and Boardwalk Ruby) and Surfboards. The new release date for v21.20 should be July 6, 2022, and the downtime should begin around 4 PM ET and 9 PM BST.

Epic Games caps XP gained from Reality Fruit in Fortnite Season 3 https://www.fortniteintel.com/epic-games-caps-xp-gained-from-reality-fruit-in-fortnite-season-3/41003/ Tue, 14 Jun 2022 12:40:07 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41003 Reality Fruit and Saplings were an entirely new concept that was introduced in Fortnite Season 3 that offered players a unique way to loot weapons and consumables from. However, the XP gained upon claiming loot from the sapling was much more than the chest and was indefinable. As of now, it seems like Epic decided to cap it for some reason.

The loot system in Fortnite has always relied on Chests and Supply drops other than floor loot that players rely on to get their hands on various tiers of weapons and consumables. Ever since Chapter 1 up until now, the loot system has stayed stagnant and players used to identify POIs with most chest spawns.

It was with the release of Chapter 3 Season 3 when things took a weird turn and loopers started to rely on a plant to get loot more than the chest spawns in a POI. Reality Fruit bears Epic to Legendary loot most of the time whereas Chest spawns usually reward a player with Uncommon to Rare weapon loot.

However, when a player picks fruit loot from a Reality Sapling, they get rewarded with insane amounts of XP which is far more than when one opens a chest. As soon as developers took note of how players were only picking Reality fruit and weed in an entire match to farm XP, they decided to finally cap it for good.

Epic limits amount of XP gained upon picking Reality Fruit / Weed

In a recent hotfix yesterday, Epic patched the number of times a player can gain XP upon performing the two major actions related to Reality Sapling. Those are Picking a Reality Fruit and Picking Weeds that grow around it.

In an in-game method, players discovered that when an XP Supercharged is in play, picking a fruit offers them over 4000 XP in one go. Picking three of them amounts to over 12000 XP and over that picking a weed amounts to over 24000 XP a player would get from a single sapling.

Exploiting this method, loopers used it to their advantage to level up 5-6 tiers in a single match upon only picking fruits and weed from around 20 saplings. The limit has now been capped to 15 times in a single match.

This means that a player will only get XP for the first 15 fruits and weed they pick in a single match. After that, there will not be any XP awarded for any of those actions.

This bold move by Epic was praised by many and at the same time certain players were unhappy to see one of their favorite XP farming methods capped. However, loopers are discovering new ways to farm XP using glitches and Creative AFK XP maps.

Fortnite Battle Lab mode removed in latest update (Updated May 4) https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-battle-lab-mode-removed/38516/ https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-battle-lab-mode-removed/38516/#comments Wed, 28 Apr 2021 13:42:01 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=38516 Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode has been disabled in the v16.30 patch, and fans aren’t happy with its removal.

UPDATE: The Battle Labs mode has been turned back on as of May 4th, 2021.

Battle Lab was added in December of 2019 close to the start of Fortnite Chapter 2. This core game mode replaced the Playground mode which allowed players to explore The Island alone or with friends.

While Playground was mostly a vanilla battle royale experience, Battle Lab allowed players to set their own rules and change loot pools. Video editors would use Battle Lab to produce high-quality content, and it also allowed younger players to enjoy the game without allowing them to play with strangers.

Fortnite Mode Select Screen

However, Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode has seemingly disappeared in the latest update without any word from Fortnite or Epic Games. This has led to an outcry from fans on Twitter who are asking for the game mode to be reinstated.

Downtime for the Fortnite v16.30 started at 4 a.m. EST on April 27, and shortly after the servers came back online players started to notice Battle Lab was missing. The Fortnite Status Twitter made various posts noting the changes made in the update, but Battle Lab wasn’t mentioned a single time.

Over the past 24 hours, Fortnite Status has also acknowledged various bug fixes and server issues. While it remains unknown whether Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode was removed by accident, the lack of acknowledgment makes it seem as if it were removed intentionally.

The removal of Battle Lab won’t affect the majority of Fortnite’s player base, it will have an impact on content creators. As stated by Frenzy2nd on Twitter, it would be ideal for Fortnite to let players know what its plans are for the future of Battle Lab.

In the meantime, there are still plenty of modes available for players to enjoy. These include the new Free For All Arena mode, One Shot duos, and an assortment of featured Creative modes. Stay tuned for the latest information regarding Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode.

Fortnite Creative Mode could be getting a huge expansion https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-creative-mode-could-be-getting-a-huge-expansion/30239/ Tue, 02 Mar 2021 15:50:00 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=30239 Fortnite Creative Mode could bring a massive update to truly simulate end-game scenarios.

Creative Mode was one of the most innovative additions that Epic has made to Fortnite. You don’t even have to play the base game mode to enjoy Fortnite, anymore. You can play Search and Destroy, deathruns, Zone Wars, Trivia, boxfights, and a lot more.

Competitive Fortnite players have taken to Creative Mode the most. Zone Wars gives you a simulated end-game and boxfights let you practice the most important element of high-level competitive play.

Fortnite Creative beta

Over a year ago, way back in, Fortnite v12.10, files were added to the game that we assumed would bring a massive change to Creative Mode. According to the game files, Creative can now support up to 50 players.

A year after we first heard the news about an updated Creative Beta, we still have yet to see this in practice. Since it’s been so long, many players forgot that it was even on the horizon.

After the v15.50 update, however, data miners found some new files that relate to the Creative Mode expansion. According to them, Epic are testing a beta of Creative that should support 50 players.

Such a change would be a massive step for the game. You could truly play a mini-BR game with your friends if this change went through. YouTube creators and streamers could also manage private matches a lot easier, as there’s no chance of a code leak or an unwanted intruder.

The best part of this additional player count is the ability to truly simulate competitive end-game situations. Zone Wars is good practice for a lot of us, but not for those at the highest level.

Anyone who has ever watched a tournament knows what we’re talking about. The end-game in professional Fortnite matches routinely has 40+ players in the final few zones. It’s pure chaos, and a 50-player Zone Wars lobby will be able to capture this.

Of course, the expansion also opens the door to a ton of other possibilities including massive boxfight battles and more. Epic will be focusing on the Creative side of things for the future of Fortnite, and an increased player count is an excellent first step.
