From skins for Beerus, Goku, and Vegeta to a Bulma reference, here’s everything we know so far.

Fortnite players were certainly shocked when they came across leaks regarding a Dragon Ball Z crossover. Both waves of the Naruto cosmetics were a massive hit in the Item Shop and it is evident that the developers now wish to capitalize on other popular anime series.

Leaks previously revealed that four skins will arrive in the first-ever Dragon Ball Z x Fortnite crossover, and one of them is going to be Beerus.

Beerus Goku

Fortnite is working on a Beerus skin for the Dragon Ball Z crossover

As per prominent leaker HYPEX, Epic Games is working on a purple skin codenamed ‘Cat’. For anyone who’s watched Dragon Ball Z, this isn’t a tough one to crack. Beerus, the god of destruction of Universe 7, perfectly fits this description.

With this, three skins have been confirmed for the upcoming DBZ crossover:

  • Goku
  • Vegeta
  • Beerus

The fourth skin will be a female character according to leaks, and it is safe to assume that it will be Bulma.

Following the v21.30 update, HYPEX discovered that one of the Fortnite x DBZ quests will have a beach umbrella setup. This could be a reference to many things like the Kame House, Bulma, or Beerus but it is too early to confirm it.

The Creative Stamina item that started all the rumors about the crossover will also be available on the map. It might be a part of some quests or the developers might just tease the crossover through it.

Last but not least, the Attack Pods from Dragonball will arrive as Gliders in Fortnite. The 21.30 patch added a glider texture with a striking resemblance to these pods and even its codename, StaminaVigor, suggests that it is related to DBZ.

Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z crossover to have a special event screen, quests, and rewards

It seems like the DBZ crossover will be quite similar to Naruto. Players can look forward to taking part in challenges that will grant them free DBZ-themed skins. Obviously, this will be accompanied by Goku, Vegeta, and Beerus outfits in the Item Shop.

The official website for the DBZ crossover is in the works. It should become functional by August, which is also when Epic Games will officially announce the collaboration.

As of now, this is everything we know about the upcoming DBZ x Fortnite crossover. The next update for Chapter 3 Season 3 will be out after four weeks, and until then, players can enjoy the new summer-themed content.

Fortnite x Fall Guys crossover is a big disappointment and here’s why https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-x-fall-guys-crossover-is-a-big-disappointment-and-heres-why/41425/ Thu, 30 Jun 2022 11:37:39 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41425 Fans naturally had sky-scraping expectations from a collaboration between Fortnite and Fall Guys, two of the biggest Battle Royale games in the world. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a damp squib for many.

Even though there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, Fortnite players have started receiving the free Major Mancake skin and other cosmetics in his set. This means that the much-anticipated collaboration with Fall Guys is finally live.

Major Mancake in Fortnite

Despite having an opportunity to get a skin set for free, loopers aren’t satisfied with the ongoing Fortnite crossover.

Some glaring issues with Fall Guys x Fortnite: Crown Clash event

Fall Guys x Fortnite’s Crown Clash event began on June 29, 2022 although Epic Games has ignored it completely. The Galaxian emotes and return of Pac-Man have been mentioned in latest Twitter posts, but players still have no ‘official’ information on the free Major Mancake skin.

As of now, leakers have single-handedly promoted the entire crossover.

The spread of misinformation and confusion among loopers was inevitable, to say the least. Leakers and data miners have been flooded by messages about the free cosmetics, who obviously have no real advice to give.

Another bone of contention is the lack of a Fall Guys-themed reward. Mancake is a popular Fortnite character, but he has no relation to Mediatonic’s Battle Royale title. To play 100 rounds of Fall Guys for a ‘not-so-Major’ Mancake skin is not worth the effort for several players.

Is the latest Fortnite x Fall Guys: Crown Clash event even a crossover?

While the critique of the Fall Guys crossover has been mentioned above, there are players that are happy with it too. They argue that Crown Clash isn’t necessarily a collaboration, but a celebration.

Epic Games’ goal here is to simply promote Fall Guys (as it recently went free-to-play). Getting a free skin set for a prominent character like Mancake is a great incentive for a devoted Fortnite player to try another game.

Considering that Fortnite is a free-to-play title as well, it is always great when the developers hand out free rewards. To be fair, playing 100 rounds of Fall Guys is much easier than The Nindo challenges that only grant a glider, a wrap, and some emoticons.

All in all, the mixed response towards Fortnite x Fall Guys is understandable. While Major Mancake is good enough for some players, others look forward to unlocking cosmetics that ‘actually’ represent a collaboration.

For now, we await Epic Games’ blog post on Crown Clash event. Leakers have revealed that the event ends on July 11, 2022. It is unlikely that Major Mancake will arrive in the Item Shop later, and this could be your only opportunity to unlock it.

Naruto using a Star Wars Lightsaber in Fortnite sums up how bizarre crossovers have become https://www.fortniteintel.com/naruto-using-a-star-wars-lightsaber-in-fortnite-sums-up-how-bizarre-crossovers-have-become/41344/ Mon, 27 Jun 2022 11:31:34 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=41344 It is evident that crossovers are the new normal in Fortnite. From Marvel and DC superheroes to real-life music artists, the Battle Royale title has turned into a hub of skins based on pop culture.

Crossovers in Fortnite have been around for a long time. In fact, the Reaper skin from Chapter 1 Season 3 was based on John Wick but Epic Games didn’t advertise at as a crossover.

However, the quantity and quality of crossovers in Fortnite have increased drastically since Chapter 2, and here’s what the community thinks of it.

Fortnite has gained millions of new players, thanks to collaborations

It is no surprise that crossovers help in promotion. Fortnite’s player base gets to know about new movies, video games, series, music artists, and vice versa. Moreover, fans love to don cosmetics that remind them of their favorite characters and franchises.

Digital concerts have been equally popular among players, especially during the COVID outbreak. When the world was trapped indoors, Epic Games’ Battle Royale game allowed millions of loopers to virtually attend concerts. These include Ariana Grande’s Rift Tour and the Soundwave Series concerts.

Travis Scott Fortnite

Crossovers also help in adding out-of-the-box content that seems impossible in other games. For instance, Wolverine, Predator, Huntmaster Saber, and Tony Stark were bosses on the island and Epic Games provided them with special abilities that otherwise wouldn’t have made sense.

Another example of the same is Spider-Man’s Mythic web-shooters. Following the overwhelmingly positive response towards the web-shooters in Chapter 3 Season 1, Epic Games brought the Grapple Gloves which are basically the web-shooters with a different name and design.

Is Fortnite going over the top with collaborations?

While collaborations have significantly helped Fortnite in standing out and building itself as a brand, many players feel that the developers have stopped paying attention to ‘original content’ owing to this. This includes the storyline, original skins, and even the Battle Pass.

Surprisingly, it has become common for the Battle Pass to have skins like Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Darth Vader, and Indiana Jones. Fans of these characters definitely appreciate them in the Battle Pass, but anyone who isn’t a Star Wars fan has no incentive to grind 100 tiring levels for a Darth Vader skin.

Adding to that, many loopers feel that it’s inappropriate for Naruto to dance on Tik-Tok emotes. Viewers who’ve looked up to the character for ages have outright rejected such crossovers because simply, they do not make sense.

Amidst the contrasting opinions of loopers, it is best if Fortnite strikes the perfect balance between original content and crossovers. To be fair, this has been the case in Chapter 3. Alongside collaborations, we also witnessed a ton of original map changes, new weapons, and storyline development.

This explains why Fortnite has caught a second wind with Chapter 3. The game hasn’t been this popular since Chapter 2, and the release of Creative 2.0 should make things even better.

Best Fortnite collaborations ever https://www.fortniteintel.com/best-fortnite-collaborations-ever/38763/ Wed, 26 May 2021 15:45:47 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=38763 Fortnite is known for its collaborations with movies, tv shows, internet personalities, and even other video games. But which of them can be deemed the best Fortnite collaborations ever.

Fortnite started its crossovers small with a skin that somewhat resembled John Wick in Chapter 1 Season 3. This unofficial collab marked the beginning of Fortnite’s rise to prominence in the pop culture. The knock-off John Wick would later be followed up by an official crossover with the franchise, but not before a few other collabs.

Since its humble beginnings in 2017, Fortnite has amassed millions of players and has managed to collaborate with some of the largest pop-culture IPs. From Halo’s Master Chief to the Rick Roll dance, it seems that no crossover is off limits. Yet, some crossovers are much more elaborate, memorable, and impactful than others.

Avengers: Infinity War LTM

The first official crossover to grace Fortnite was the Avengers: Infinity War event. This collab brought the Infinity Gauntlet LTM which allowed one person to play as Thanos. It functioned like a normal round of Fortnite, except for one person having an overpowered arsenal of attacks and a ton of health.

This crossover was fairly elaborate, especially for being Fortnite’s first one. However, it claims a spot on this list because of its overall impact. Sure, it was a ton of fun to jump around the map as Thanos. But this single event started a trend of legendary crossovers with other media franchises.

Batman Season X POI

At the end of Chapter 1, Fortnite Season x introduced Gotham City as a POI. This took the place of Tilted Towers but was roughly designed the same. However, players could find Batman-themed loot here such as throwing stars and grappling hooks. It also introduced the first-ever DC cosmetics.

This crossover, along with the Borderlands collab, introduced the idea of licensed POIs. Building off of this concept, the Marvel crossover season littered the map with Marvel locations. It allowed players to visit familiar or iconic places while playing their favorite video game.

Travis Scott Concert

One of Fortnite’s most successful and most impressive events has to be the Travis Scott concert. Coming off the back of an incredibly boring Chapter 2 Season 1, players were treated to a virtual event like never before. The map changed over the course of a week or two in preparation for the Astronomical event.

This event was a turning point for Fortnite’s relationship with musical artists. Before this, Marshmello and Major Lazer had their own skins, but Travis Scott broke down walls allowing smaller artists to be a part of Fortnite. Small scale concerts and licensed music in emotes became more prevalent than before.

Travis Scott Fortnite Astronomical Concert

Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins Skin

Ninja getting a skin in Fortnite was something people wanted but didn’t think was ever going to happen. Many content creators deserved their own skin, but Fortnite hadn’t acknowledged this until Ninja’s skin was released. It proved that Epic Games does care about its community and the people who continue to make Fortnite as popular as it is.

Ninja’s skin was well deserved as many credit him with popularizing Fortnite. It also marked the beginning of the Icon Series which has since added a ton of creators to the game. LoserFruit, Lachlan, and Grefg have all been added to the game. Hopefully, there will be more skins to come.

Star Wars Preview Event

Before the release of Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker, Fortnite held an in-game preview event to show a clip from the movie. This clip was preceded by an impressive starfighter dogfight featuring the Millennium Falcon. While the preview clip itself was rather lame, the event started an awesome collab between Star Wars and Fortnite.

fortnite star wars lightsabers

This event ended with players being given lightsabers to fight with. The lightsabers would stick around in-game for a few weeks alongside new crash sites. These sites would be patrolled by Storm Troopers who would be equipped with blasters. This event was one of the first that had a lasting effect on the

Fortnite reveals potential upcoming collabs through survey https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-survey-upcoming-fortnite-collaborations/38769/ https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-survey-upcoming-fortnite-collaborations/38769/#comments Mon, 24 May 2021 14:09:36 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=38769 Epic Games has sent out another survey to some players asking which brands they would be most interested to see Fortnite collab with. This survey lists a number of shows, movies, and musical artists that could be upcoming Fortnite collaborations.

Fortnite sends out surveys every once in a while to gauge interest in upcoming content. The Monthly Crew Pack was one such project that was leaked before its announcement thanks to surveys. As well, players were recently sent potential skin designs to choose from.

Now, Epic has sent out another survey asking players to select which brands, superstars, athletes, and video game characters they are familiar with. This is likely to gauge the notoriety of each potential crossover. The options that have the most popularity could potentially be upcoming Fortnite collaborations.

fortnite collab survey options
From HYPEX on Twitter

Survey leaks potential Fortnite collaborations

The survey was originally leaked by Twitter user RyderFromGTA and a full list of potential collabs was posted by HYPEX. The survey was broken down into nine different sections each with its own theme. The sections were Professional Athletes, Video Game Characters, Pop Culture Characters & Brands, Professional Sports Clubs/Teams, Comic Book Characters, TV Shows, Movies, Content Creators, and Actors/Performers.

Each section housed a number of choices including several speculated or scrapped crossovers. Samus Aran, Family Guy, and Naruto all appeared on the list after having been leaked during the Fortnite vs Apple trial. There were also characters that have already appeared in-game such as The Mandalorian and Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.

Some off-the-wall options included South Park, Pewdiepie, and Pinky and The Brain. These options appearing on the list does not mean they are upcoming Fortnite collaborations. In fact, even some of the most popular options may not be feasible crossovers. However, this list does give players insight into what Epic Games could be planning for the future of Fortnite.

We would love to know which of these crossovers you’d like to see make it into Fortnite. Let us know by leaving a comment down below and maybe even the wildest crossovers will be a part of Donald Mustard’s Metaverse.

Top 10 highest earning Fortnite Collaborations https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-highest-earning-collabs-crossovers/38582/ Mon, 03 May 2021 20:45:08 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=38582 A leaked document from the Epic Games vs Apple trial revealed the highest earning Fortnite collaborations. While the document doesn’t give specific numbers, a bar graph compares the revenue from each collab.

Fortnite is known for its collaborations with other media franchises. Sometimes they are as simple as Easter eggs hidden around the map, and other times they are as extensive as an entire themed season. Fortnite has used these collabs to generate massive amounts of revenue, but some are more profitable than others.

These collaborations have included DC Comics, Borderlands, Wreck-it Ralph, and a number of other popular franchises. Collaborations started off small with a single licensed skin every few seasons. Now, players can expect a new licensed character every week or two.

fortnite gold skins

Of course, the size of the crossover can also affect how much revenue it generates. That’s why people won’t surprised to see the first few names on the list. Yet, there are a couple of placements on the list that may be surprising.

PlacementIP Collaborator
1stMarvel
2ndStar Wars
3rdNational Football League (NFL)
4thTravis Scott
5thMarshmello
6thDC Comics
7thJohn Wick
8thTyler “Ninja” Blevins
9thNike
10thDrake

Keep in mind, this is from a report made in June of 2020 at the end of the 2019-20 fiscal year. Marvel’s season-long crossover had yet to start when this report was made. As well, Grefg, Lachlan, and Lazarbeam hadn’t had their skins revealed yet which could easily bump a few of these names off the list.

Marvel, DC, and Star Wars had already had multiple crossovers at that time and multiple opportunities to purchase the collab skins. When looking at the chart below, none of the other franchises come close to Marvel. However, if select skins such as Travis Scott or Marshmello were put back into the item shop, they may generate enough revenue to move up the ranks.

Fortnite top collaborating IPs

It’s interesting to look at the revenue generated vs the size of the IP. Drake has more monthly listeners than both Marshmello and Travis Scott. Yet, since he only has an emote in Fortnite, the revenue he generated is much less.

Seeing the insane number of collaborations over the past year, there’s no doubt that this top ten list will change. DC is on the verge of releasing a number of new cosmetics, Grefg’s record-breaking stream must have also influenced skin sales, and the addition of beloved video game characters will have an impact on the highest earning Fortnite collaborations

Every leaked Fortnite collab from Epic Games vs. Apple trial https://www.fortniteintel.com/fortnite-leaked-collabs-scrapped-leaked/38570/ Mon, 03 May 2021 19:25:32 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=38570 During the first day of the Epic Games vs Apple trial, a slew of scrapped/delayed crossovers was leaked. These include collaborations that were rumored around the time they were supposed to release.

Today, May 3, 2021, marked the first day of the three-week trial between Epic Games and Apple. During the first meeting, a document titles Apple X Epic Quarterly Business Review: June 2020 was leaked. This document contained insightful information into how Epic Games performed during the 2019-2020 fiscal year.

However, it also revealed a number of scrapped/delayed collaborations that Fortnite had planned for 2020 and 2021. The document does not go into detail as to why these collaborations never came to fruition. Seeing as the Neymar Jr. collab was meant to take place at the end of 2020, its delay could mean that the rest of the collaborations will happen in the future.

Samus Aran – Metroid

Samus Aran is the main protagonist in the Metroid series that was supposed to be a part of Fortnite Season 5. Her appearance was supposed to be alongside Master Chief and Kratos as one of the most prolific warriors in video games, but she wasn’t released for some reason.

Around the time of her intended release, it had been rumored that she would be coming to Fortnite. Yet, when Season 5 came and went, the rumor was considered just that.

Fortnite Samus Aran

Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki is a young ninja from the popular Shonen Jump series Naruto. He was also planned to appear in Fortnite, but the timing of this collab remains unknown. Seeing as Season 5 featured the game’s first anime-like character, he could have been intended for that season as well.

Fortnite Naruto uzumaki

Lebron James – NBA Lakers

Lebron James is a world-famous basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was intended to be added to the game with his own Icon Series set. Many believe he will be added to Fortnite soon seeing as a basketball-themed event is taking place during v16.40.

James was supposed to appear in Q4 of 2020 around the original release date of Neymar Jr. Seeing as Neymar’s release was pushed back to 2021, it’s possible that Lebron will appear in Fortnite soon.

Fortnite Lebron James

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

A collab with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was speculated by numerous fans at the start of Fortnite Season 6. The Rock had stated on social media that a collab with Fortnite was in the works, and The Scientist from Fortnite shares similar markings with Johnson.

The court documents now confirm that Epic Games had intended to collab with Dwayne Johnson during Q1 of 2021. Due to the delayed release of several seasons in 2020, this collab could be pushed off to a later season.

Fortnite The Rock

Katniss Everdeen – The Hunger Games

Katniss Everdeen is the heroine of The Hunger Games series, and she could easily fit in both Season 5 and 6. Season 5 focused on crossing over with iconic characters from movies and video games. As well, Season 6 has had a heavy focus on the use of bows. Seeing as Katniss primarily uses bows, she could fit right in with Lara Croft and Aloy.

Fortnite katniss Everdeen

The Bride – Kill Bill

The Bride is the main character in the Kill Bill movies, and was intended to be in Fortnite. When she was supposed to appear remains unknown, but she was likely planned for Season 5. This season featured crossovers with characters from similar movie franchises, and she would feel out of place if she appeared in another season.

Fortnite the bride kill bill

John McClane – Die Hard

John McClane is the leading character in the Die Hard films. Seeing as he’s another 80s action hero who didn’t make the cut for Season 5, it can be assumed he was scrapped from Fortnite altogether. Unless Epic Games is planning another gritty action hero season, McClane will have to stick to the streets of LA.

Fortnite john mcClane

Snake Plissken – Escape From New York

Snake Plissken is the main protagonist in Escape from New York and Escape from L.A. He’s yet another character that was likely scrapped due to his lack of appearance in Fortnite Season 5.

Fortnite Snake Plissken

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande – Musical Performances

Similar to concerts by Dillon Francis and J Balvin, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga were slated to perform in some capacity in Fortnite. This could have meant they were going to have a larger-than-life concert like Travis Scott or a simple set on Party Royale. These concerts didn’t end up taking place, but that doesn’t mean they won’t in the future.

Season 5 teaser package points to Ant-Man, Matrix & more upcoming crossovers https://www.fortniteintel.com/season-5-teaser-package-points-to-ant-man-matrix-more-upcoming-crossovers/37194/ https://www.fortniteintel.com/season-5-teaser-package-points-to-ant-man-matrix-more-upcoming-crossovers/37194/#comments Fri, 22 Jan 2021 21:07:31 +0000 http://www.fortniteintel.com/?p=37194

Fortnite Season 5 is still chugging along, but what about the teasers that were released ahead of the season. Here’s what the community thinks about upcoming crossovers based on the information Epic have provided.

Back before the release of Fortnite Season 5, certain creators were sent packages that contained teasers for upcoming content. We covered these teasers at the time, but have since seen many of them come to fruition.

For example, the red face paint was a teaser for Kratos – one of the first crossover skins to enter the season. The rations likely relate to Master Chief and the sunglasses are a clear nod to Terminator.

We still have a lot of teasers to work with, though. What do the space bananas mean? What about the Everlast hand wraps? Does the gold backscratcher represent the addition of a female Midas skin?

If we assume that we’ve seen the rations (Master Chief), face paint (Kratos), baseball bat (Walking Dead), mud mask (Predator), and the sunglasses (Terminator) have been covered and exclude the Battle Pass skins, we only have a few clues left.

Here’s what the community thinks about all of the remaining teasers:

  • Hand Wraps: Boxer – possibly Rocky? Maybe it was related to Green Arrow
  • Gold Backscratcher: Female Midas
  • Space Bananas: Unknown, possibly Master Chief. Fans hope for Samus
  • Ant Farm: Ant-Man
  • Red/Blue Jellybeans: The Matrix
  • Coins: The Witcher

YouTuber Ali-A uploaded a video after the Terminator skins were announced, recapping the teasers that remain to be seen and adding his own thoughts to the topic.

There are a few crossovers that seem too obvious to ignore. A Matrix crossover seems inevitable, as does the release of Female Midas and Ant-Man skins. We’d put The Witcher into this category as well, but Epic could have been teasing the bounty system, as we’re rewarded with gold for completing quests.

We still have more than a month left in Fortnite Season 5, so we haven’t seen the last of these crossovers. As always, we’ll keep you posted when we hear news from official sources or data miners within the community.
